1.) With Habitual / Regular actions (आदतन या नियमित कार्य)

☞ Nature wears a good look in spring.
☞ Birds fly in the sky.
2.) With Universal Truth ( सार्वभौम सत्य )
☞ The Earth moves arround the Sun.
3.) With future planned programmes (भावी नियोजित कार्यक्रम )
☞ The prime Mininster visits jaipur tomorrow.
☞ My father retires next month.
☞ The actress reaches Udaipur tomorrow, inaugurates the film studio and goes back the same day.
☞ He will return your book as soon as he finishes it.
4.) With inherent qualities( जन्मजात गुण )
☞ A mother loves her children.
5.) With Scientific or Spiritual or other Principles and theories ( वैज्ञानिक या आध्यात्मिक या अन्य सिद्धान्तों के साथ )
☞ Water contains hydrogen and oxygen.
☞ God doesn’t take birth.
☞ A square has four sides.
6.) With quotations, proverbs etc. ( कथन, कहावतें आदि )
☞ Gandhi says, ] Non-violence is the supreme virtue.’
☞ All that glitters, is not gold.
7.) In Newspaper Headlines ( समाचार—पत्र की सुर्खियॉं )
☞ pollution increases ailments.
☞ Govt. decides to regularize the private colonies : Chief Minister
8.) In running commentaries ( आँखों देखा हाल सुनाने में )
☞ The bowler bowls but th batsman hits a four.
9.) To narrate past events effectively ( historic present) भूतकाल की घटनाओं का प्रभावी वर्णन करने के लिए
☞ In that film, The villain hits the hero, but he defends himself.
☞ India wins freedom in 1947.
10.) With verbs of perception ( अवबोधनात्मक क्रियाओं के साथ )
☞ notice, see, watch, feel , hear, smell, taste etc.
☞ Do you feel the pricks of conscience ?
☞ I notice love in your eyes.
11.) With verbs of cognition ( knowing) संज्ञानात्मक क्रियाओं के साथ
☞ know, suppose, remember, forget, believe, mean, think, understand, trust
☞ Do you believe in fate ?
12.) With verbs of emotion ( भावनात्मक क्रियाओं के साथ )
☞ love, hate, anger, fear, desire, hope, like, want, wish, mind, prefer etc.
☞ I hope for the best result.
☞ She loves me much.
13.) With some miscellaneous verbs ( अन्य विविध क्रियाओं के साथ )
☞ appear, seem, resemble, matter, consist of, contain, deserve etc.
☞ She appears to be an actress.
☞ The jug contains milk.
14.) With Conditional-Imperative ( सशर्त—आदेशात्मक )
☞ Work hard if you want success.
☞ Stand up when the teacher comes to class.
15.) Negative Imperative ( नकारात्मक—आदेशात्मक )
☞ Don’t make a noise.
